Operation: Rogue Ascension – Weekend Scenario – Magazine Fed Event – Ballan 23/3/24-24/3/24
Bushballers Melbourne and Paintball Skirmish Games are excited to announce a milestone in the form of Operation: Rogue Ascension, a mag-fed paintball event on the weekend of March 23 & 24 held at Paintball Games Ballan, in Colbrook, Victoria.
Once again we will see the Coldstream Peacekeeping Force and Wildlands Raiders battle it out for ultimate control over the course of the weekend, with mission-based gameplay running from Saturday morning through to Saturday night, and again over Sunday until early afternoon.
When: Saturday March 23th to Sunday 24st March 2024
Where: Paintball Ballan, 19 Aldreds Lane, Colbrook Victoria
Timetable: Event commencing Saturday 23rd, running throughout the day in two three-hour sessions and into the night with multiple, shorter games, recommencing in the morning on Sunday 24th, wrapping up around lunch on Sunday.
Cost: $90 early bird event fee which also includes lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday morning. For those camping on Friday night, an extra $10 covers an additional hot breakfast on Saturday morning.
Early bird pricing ends on 16/02/2024, whereupon the registration fee will increase to $120 per person.
The event will be fully catered with lunch, American-style BBQ dinner and breakfast the following morning, with camping available on-site both Friday and Saturday night, and paid accommodation available in nearby Ballan, Bacchus Marsh or Ballarat.
Paint pricing TBA closer to the date, and will be based on availability. Paint options will be available on the day.
This will be a First Strike friendly event (with certain conditions imposed on their use) and bags available for purchase on the day

Lore
September 2023 saw the peaceful forest territory of Ballanistan under incursion by a loose conglomerate of militias, outlaws and bandits known as the Wildlands Raiders. An intervention was mounted by neighbouring powers however it proved unsuccessful, with the Raiders maintaining decisive control and forcing the Coldstream Peacekeeping Force to abandon the attempt.
March 2024 will see the return of conflict to the region. The Coldstream Peacekeeping Force, having re-assessed the situation, are seeking to bolster their presence with private contractors from abroad before embarking on another mission to bring Peace and Freedom to the beleaguered territory by dislodging the Raiders and establishing an occupation.
The Raiders have not been idle during this time, as they have established partnerships with regional narco-barons, weapons dealers and other non-state actors. Their ranks have been built up with guerillas, soldiers of fortune, failed revolutionaries and outcasts from abroad.
Will you join the Peacekeepers and bring Peace, Stability and Freedom™ to Ballanistan, or fill the ranks of the Raiders with their ambiguous goals and try to carve out your own corner of the land?
